經歷隊史戰績最黯淡的三個球季，「紫金軍團」湖人隊看到重見曙光，昨天以一一九比一○八擊敗太陽隊，寫下開季主場三連勝，同時是近期三連勝。
前一場在主場讓勇士隊受挫，對湖人是很大的鼓舞，「我不認為我們已經滿意了，我們昨天做到、今天也做到，沒讓人失望！」後衛羅素說。
湖人前一次在主場收下三連勝，已要回溯到二○一三年四月，廿一歲的前鋒藍道認為，球隊正走在正確的道路上，「我們開始看到些成功了，我們可能會輕易將領先拱手讓人，但我們仍會持續拚戰，這就是我們的比賽，我不會畏懼任何人。」
昨天他就和太陽的主戰中鋒錢德勒卯上，兩人都因垃圾話被吹技術犯規，但藍道以十八分技壓攻下九分的對手，第四節末還送出關鍵助攻給克拉克森，讓隊友投進將差距拉大到兩位數的三分球。
今年首度接掌湖人兵符的教頭華頓讚，藍道打出分享籃球，「這就是我們想要的，他用腦袋打球，更有競爭力，為這支球隊而戰。」
包括藍道在內，湖人今年共有四名廿一歲以下的球員，年紀雖輕，進步卻看得見。
